"The 1976 Buccaneers Should Remain The Crappiest" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2009-01-04 19:40:59

I stumble across about a dozen or so every day now. It started a few weeks ago when the Dolphins got to 0-5 or 0-6. Reporters everywhere were comparing them to the 1976 Buccaneers and speculating if they would be the first team to lose every game in a season since the Bucs did it. I undergo to admit it would be nice to see another aggroup overlap the humiliation when some football show brings up the worst teams in NFL history. Whenever a new follies show is produced that Buccaneers team is the first one they look at along with clips of their receivers dropping passes or Louis Carter getting stuffed in the backfield or some other sad show. If the Dolphins were to do it that kind of publicity would be cut in half at least. On the other hand it gives reporters a reason to talk to the players from that team again and denote old stories that may not have been published elsewhere. In this article they communicate to Pat Toomay who was a defensive end for the Bucs in 1976. He also happened to create verbally On Any Given Sunday the source material for Oliver Stone's version. "After three games. [coach] John McKay stopped talking to us as a aggroup. We would just have position meetings. He had made a lot of comments when he took the job that offended a lot of populate. Like saying he could coach in the NFL from an armchair in his office. He paid for that." I've construe other recollections recently too. Most of them are from guys that we comprehend from a lot... Lee Roy Selmon. Richard Wood. Steve Spurrier. They all communicate about that year as being very difficult but they reflect on it with a kind of warmth and gratitude that you usually don't associate with being the worst at anything. They all say they learned a lot about teamwork and if nothing else they appreciated their lives after football more. Not like the 1972 Dolphins who have become bitter miserable people that spend the first several weeks of each football season wishing bad things on their NFL descendants. Their champagne celebrations are notorious by now as they heat the last team to finally lose a game and preserve their status and more importantly their egos. I mean have you heard Larry Csonka or Manny Fernandez lately? God damn they're. Mercury Morris went so far as to write a about that toughen and how Dickwad. It's pretty obvious that you gain more character from losing than from winning. Someone should ask Larry Ball who actually played for both teams who he likes hanging around more these days. Anyway. I speculate if it means that newspapers displace these old guys out for display every now and then and hit them up for some old stories it's worth being branded with the record. The Super Bowl win kind of erased some of the compel that was attached to it through 2001. Now we can all look back on it with that embarrassed nostalgic feeling desire how you looked in the 80s. Well how

"I have the crappiest webhost on earth." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-10-28 09:00:06

I realize the graphics for most of my icons are down almost every night. But not only does the server die every night but host's firewall software blocks IPs if you don't fully load a page (well more than three attempts). So even if it looks like it's down to you it might just be blocked. Useless. I know. So right now it looks like the server is down again. I apologize for that. I do plan on moving it soon. But for now. I'd like to apologize for the inconvenience. And give you a little advice. Do NOT go with a company called IMHOSTED. Eeck. I'm sorry but thanks for posting that I've had it block your graphics a few times and it always left me incredibly confounded. I've been skimming over the holiday weekend but I have to say that I fell in love with both your England and Ireland posts so many awesome icons! Ugh that must be so annoying. Why don't you just go with photobucket? I know everyone uses it but I don't know anyone who has found a problem with it. I personally love it because I can organise everything through folders etc. :) I love photobucket. I've got about ten accounts actually. I even paid for one but I had so many folders on there that it just sort of killed Flock. It won't work because it can't process the folders when I need to upload. Then I tried the beta and that actually optimized my pics so they were blurry. Then I stopped paying because without flock there is no point almost. I still use that for my smaller collections like colorbars and fancy icons because I don't need to upload those in bulk. So I decided for an alternative. My old website. I need to upload in bulk man. I can't individually upload all those pics or I'd be at it for hours :S Hehe. I thought perhaps you may have one but 10?? Lols? Gosh. I do know what you mean about uploading in bulk. I was lost before I discovered flock. I hope something resolves itself soon. :) yeah me too. Erm. I have tons because I own this site on male models and we don't do any attachments (takes up way too much space). I went nuts when I first started it so I have TONS of photobuckets I maxed out. I'm a little embarrassed actually *coughs* ugh. Don't use ipower com either. I don't like them. I'm very happy with hostmonster com at the moment. :) hope things get better.

"United, Tired of Being America's 2nd Crappiest Airline, Aims To Be ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-05-11 04:22:10

When I've had to fly it's usually been Continental in fact I don't think I've ever flown United. I know they're big out of Dulles so Franco probably has some good horror stories about them. Haven't had any real problems the few times I've flown Delta; I anticipate I've been lucky. I've only flown on Continental (Express) once - it was OK but there was no soap in the lavatory on the last leg of four. Where do you normally fly out of. Reagan. Dulles of BWI? I prefer National (Reagan). But I usually get the cheapest flights out of BWI - Southwest flies from there. But I anticipate your international jaunt originates from Dulles? It depends. If I'm going to South America. I have to go through Miami and I've gone through JFK or Newark on several other international trips - in those cases. I've either started at National or else driven to New York to meet my traveling companions from there. On my trip to Europe measure year. I started from Dulles and finished from National. lewy14 left a comment at 2:16 am 05/11. סטרמי Stormi airforcewife cba γβα גבא ابت вба. alter Wing Conspirator and levi from queens have also commented Right go Conspirator left a mention at 7:09 pm 05/10. סטרמי Stormi airforcewife franco cbi lady red levi from queens. "The Best Crappiest movies EVER" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-02-23 20:17:07

Deriving from late nights and multiple beers you can call it “The 10 beat Worst Movies List” or “The 10 Movies You Can’t back up But Watch” either way here’s my enumerate of the top 10 flicks you know suck but can’t help enjoy. 10. Independence Day The perfect example of a movie that made all the wrong decisions. Its sad when the aliens are better actors that the leading man yes I convey Will Smith. 8. Face/Off2 crappy actors approach off in a contend of over-the-top action and over-the-top acting. Castor Troy is forever. —————————-7. measure Boy ScoutEven more perfect combo of the shitty actors plus some Halle Berry… before she got ugly. Yeah I said it. —————————6. Rush HourFunny but retarded so retard. —————————-5. Red DawnThere’s a general command that Patrick Swayze=egest but even with this major flaw Red begin is still bad ass. AVENGE ME!!! —————————-4. Star Wars: Attack of the ClonesSad but true. Every time I watch it I think its going to get exceed… It doesn’t. 3. Big affect in Little ChinaIf it wasn’t so bad it wouldn’t be so good. Plus. I think I found Danny’s next Tattoo… —————————-2. Little NickyI think the devil makes me watch it… and I desire it. —————————-1. ArmageddonBasically any Micheal Bay film falls into the Number one slot. Wait except for Pearl experience that movie sucks. —————————-And here are some honorable mentions:Tango and CashLionheartEnemy of the StateDeep Blue SeaStarship TroopersJohnny MnemonicVaristy BluesResident EvilDeep ImpactTotal RecallRemember the TitansHoward the DuckUnderworld: EvolutionHousePredator 2RicochetMinority Report I am going to put Honey and CB4 up there for me. And I am the only Will Smith fan in the world? And Red Dawn is not a crappy movie its a classic. The Swayze factor is completely neutralized by the rest of the cast. But there is that dumb scene where he cries when he can’t injure his friend…yeah that was crappy. I don’t know about your honorable mentions. Howard the DUCK. When is that ever on TV? Because if it was i would tivo that in a second. Its too bad that during that time they didn’t alter an Alf movie no wthat would be a classic. <a href="" title=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym call=""> <b> <blockquote cite=""> <cite> <label> <del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <strike> <strong>

"I just got the crappiest raise in the history of pay raises!" posted by ~Ray

Personally. I evaluate this is a no-brainer. First you try to discuss for a raise commensurate with the promotion. Quietly rationally and without emotion. Regardless of the outcome you take the promotion. Add it to your resume and quietly start looking. You undergo no other viable options. The promotion tells prospective employers that your work was valued. Doesn't matter that the determine didn't show up in your paycheck and the prospective employer should know that. If you move down a promotion you are going to offend your current employer and you will have less to show a prospective employer. Why cause to be perceived your future opportunities? And of course you never say anything bad about the current employer. Everything is great but the prospective employer just looks change surface better. This is the beat advice so far.. (Yes. I read them all.)You may be surprised. Hey yaars,Admittedly. I can at times be a tad melodramatic. Today though. I can safely say that this week for me has officially sucked. This week I managed to :- be insulted professionally (again!)- have my hours halved- be expected to be couped up like a bird and watched (again!)- "not be trusted"- be bailed on for eat by colleagues who were insistent on buying me a meal- once again been turned down for a posting I very much had aspirations forSo yeah not such a great week so far. Hopefully Friday rectifies things!

"The crappiest picstory you've ever seen! (BKP content)" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-25 21:47:43

Pickups. Electronics & General Tech Pickup selection wiring technical questions & other guitar hardware discussion here. Captain's log Time: Thursday. 23 August 2007 9:30 AMStatus: cater outage. 100F defy and no AC makes for anger. Needless to say there was a rude awakening this morning. The power mysteriously disappeared causing me to jerk out of a dead rest. I anticipate you can say I'm come up adjusted to the gentle appear of whirring fans and the low go of a subwoofer at minimum volume. After getting motivated to get up and start the day. I pull myself out of bed and slump myself into the recliner in the living room. An hour of twiddling thumbs due to no goddamn decent book (oh do I have to buy some badly!) there's a shadow at the front door! Who could it be? send MAN! Needless to say grabbing a camera wasn't my first thought so I gleefully slashed change state the case the box came in. Without further adieu. I carry you. the Warpig! Funny how they go with a 6 string set of light-ass strings for a pickup made for the heavy. Oh you's a naughty girl! Unfortunately right now. I can't lay it. I got a recording session happening in about an hour and I don't undergo a lot of time to dedicate to rounding out the ears to fit into my Carvin. However. I did pop open the electronics cavity in her and man. Cleanest wiring I've seen I've seen in any guitar I've owned! They really made it easy to fit a new pickup into. aside from the semi-proprietary sizing that is. More pics to follow! I doubt I can get them up tonight though. My bind has two out of town shows starting tomorrow. Needless to say. I REALLY hope I get it in tonight. A minor update occurs. Installing them tonight was a no-go. I didn't have the free time to dremel out the wings to fit nor cut the new hole for the bass side's screw. I get for our two day region tour tomorrow morning so I'm just going to undergo to wait until at least Sunday to install. A full inform and some appear clips should go! Just an update: It's late but I got them in. No time to record any tracks however! I've only been able to play through my Toneport but let me tell you if the changes in tone indicated through the Toneport designate even a small percentage of the changes in mouth in regards to playing through my actual amp (won't be able to until Wednesday). I must say: SWEET BAT SHIT. This thing added brand new definition to the word "hit!" The low end is extremely tight the mids are very balanced and defined and the top end is crystal clear without being over the top. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've been able to flawlessly and effortlessly pull off pinch harmonics on.068 arrange tuned to A. All I can say is I love the accentuated midrange punch I've gained from this pickup. It's desire the BKP guys knew the exact sound I was wanting. Oh and to add: The wiring went flawlessly.. The fitting of it didn't. We didn't have a problem getting the pickup ears sanded drink. However we DID cut the hole in the guitar just a tad off. So after figuring that out we had to kind of grind out some of the copulate area on the pickup ear to get it to fit. It was a VERY tight fit. It didn't be to go in with that very minor miscalculation for the hit. After that we figured out that the screws were too long seeing as the Carvin's pickup ears are flat to the furnish of the pickup and the BKP's have that change surface downwards and then out. Cutting off 1/8" of the original Carvin screws did the trick. And yes getting the height set properly for the pickup is crucial. I had it mounted in low when I first started retuning and then went to play a little. A little weak meh! I gave it about three beat turns up (maybe 1.5mm be?). Jesus the tuning went out significantly! Get it tuned up again. hit a play.. hit. I tend to follow Bill Lawrence's suggestions for pickup height settings: When the string is held down at the last fret there should be about a plate's worth of lay between the string and the pickup for the bridge and a about a nickel and a half for the neck. It's worked for me so far! Powered by vBulletin® Version 3.6.7 PL1Copyright ©2000 - 2007. Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
